Becca began competing in gymnastics at age 7 and continued on through
the collegiate level. She has 10 years experience in coaching gymnastics,
primarily at TAGS in Eden Prairie.
She has coached all levels of gymnastics, ages 3 up to competitive
team. While at TAGS she implemented a strength-training program
for the girl's team, which included core strengthening with balance
balls, yoga, and Pilates, as well as cardio conditioning and resistance
training. Becca also provided custom choreography for competitive
athletes.
Athough she has raced Grandma's marathon, Triathlon is her athletic
focus. She has completed the Pigman Half-Ironman, the Square Lake
Half-Iron, and many short-course and Olympic distance triathlons.
She is currently coached by John Shelp of SCS Multisport,
and finished several races in the top five of her age-group during
the 2006 season, and in 2007 enjoyed her first Elite start at the Buffalo Triathlon.
Becca also finished her first Nordic Ski half marathon
in 2005, and her first full Nordic Ski marathon in 2006. She was
a member of the U of M women's rowing team, and has been rock-climbing
in Thailand and many areas of the Midwest. She likes sports!
In 2005, she walked 60 miles in 3 days with her sister and mother
as part of the 3-Day Walk to
raise money for Breast Cancer. In 2006, Becca was a nationally-ranked age-group triathlete.
